Experience Summary
A hawk walk experience lasts about 3-4 hours. Harris Hawks are native to South, Central and North America and are the fastest birds in the sky swooping at up to 280km per hour. On a hawk walk you'll be able to handle, fly and feed a Harris Hawk or Peregrine Falcon, learn about its hunting behaviour and the history of falconry in a very informal setting. You'll also experience a hawk flying to your glove and be able to observe it in its natural habitat. The tour is very informative and takes place in beautiful countryside.
